Insurance carrier sets sights on continued workforce and company growth

BRIGHTON, Mich. – In 10 years, LifeSecure Insurance Company has gone from an innovative start-up with just four employees, to a prominent and successful insurance carrier – growing both nationally and at home in Michigan. The company recently hosted an event to celebrate its first 10 years and dedicate its newly expanded and renovated Brighton headquarters.

The event, which followed the launch of the company’s new brand identity in July, marks the beginning of LifeSecure’s next chapter of growth and the evolution of the company.

Founded in 2006, LifeSecure began as a long-term care insurance (LTCI) carrier selling only in Michigan. Its rapid expansion, both in terms of its national market and workforce, required LifeSecure to acquire additional office space at its headquarters in Brighton. Since its founding, LifeSecure has:

• Become licensed in 46 states and Washington D.C.

• Quickly grown its workforce to 76 employees – a 55 percent increase since January 2014.

• Launched additional products, such as its Hospital Recovery and Personal Accident Insurance.

• Become the top-ranked carrier for worksite LTCI sales, or employer group-based business, in 2014.

• Experienced the largest growth rate among LTCI carriers through mid-year 2016 (based on individual new business sales)[1].
