Product Compliance Specialist

This role is responsible for supporting a variety of insurance product compliance activities, including direct responsibility for forms drafting (policies, schedules, applications), and for state filings (through SERFF or other state-specific protocols) of all product-related forms. Responsibilities also include coordinating with Actuarial and Product Development for handling appropriate responses to DOI objections to various filings.  

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drafting of product related forms ready for filing pursuant to state regulatory requirements
  • Filing all applicable forms with appropriate Departments of Insurance (DOI); follow-ups with review analysts, as needed
  • Coordinating and handling responses related to state objections to product and rate-related filings
  • Upon state approvals, create and distribute Implementation Memos across departments to outline and specify state-specific requirements and instructions
  • Maintain state-specific and product-specific Forms Logs to track and manage all product-related forms (filed and non-filed forms)
  • May support user-testing to assure accuracy and completeness of product build-outs on various systems
  • Supports compliance and product-related research projects, as needed 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in insurance industry required; prefer experience in a product development or compliance function
  • Prefer knowledge of SERFF system
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good written communication
  • Note - this is a remote-based position
